Getting a reliable reading
- Step away from metal: cars, steel gates, rebar and transformers bend the reading.
- Calibrate when the app asks, by moving the phone in a figure-eight.
- Face the main entrance squarely and hold the phone flat and steady.
- Take the photo so the facing is saved on the stamp.
Fixlens shows direction and the traditional zone name. It does not judge whether a building is Vastu compliant.
Questions
How accurate is the phone compass?
Phone compasses are affected by steel, vehicles and electrical equipment nearby. Fixlens shows a calibration indicator; move away from metal and calibrate before relying on the reading.
Does Fixlens say whether a house is Vastu compliant?
No. It shows the direction and its traditional Vastu zone name. Interpretation is up to you or your Vastu consultant.
